Biography

Evin Bachelor joined Purdy, Lammers & Schiavone in June 2021, and took ownership of the firm as of January 1, 2022.

Evin primarily focuses in the practice areas of estate planning, business planning, probate and trust administration, and real estate.

Born and raised in Celina, Evin graduated from Celina High School in 2011. For his undergraduate studies, Evin attended the Ohio State University where he received a Bachelor of Arts in history and political science. Evin continued his studies at Ohio State's Moritz College of Law, where he graduated in 2018 with his law degree.

Evin passed the July 2018 Ohio Bar Examination and was sworn into the practice of law in Ohio in November 2018. He also passed the February 2019 Indiana Bar Examination and was sworn into the practice of law in Indiana in May 2019.

For his first job out of law school, Evin served as a law fellow and senior research associate with the Ohio State University Extension Agricultural & Resource Law Program. One of Evin's main responsibilities was to research legal topics important to farmers, and then educate farmers through factsheets, blog posts, live presentations, podcasts, and more. He also assisted with the undergraduate agribusiness law course at Ohio State, and continues to teach a similar course at Wright State University Lake Campus every other fall.

Evin also practices with Wright & Moore Law Co., LPA, based out of Delaware, Ohio, which focuses on farm succession planning for medium to large farms across Ohio. For more information on Wright & Moore, visit https://www.ohiofarmlaw.com/.

Evin is an active member of the Ohio State Bar Association and Mercer County Bar Association. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Mercer County Civic Foundation, on the Board of Trustees for the Celina-Mercer County Combined Services Appeal, and on the Board of Directors for the Mercer County Law Library Resources Board. He is also the Chair of the Celina Civil Service Commission and the Celina Tree Commission.

When he is not practicing law or volunteering with community groups, Evin likes to visit museums and antique stores with his wife and daughter, and to read books on almost any topic of history.
